I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve. I asked for prosperity and God gave me a brain and brawn to work. I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome. I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help. I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities… I received nothing I wanted, I received everything I needed.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan
Reading this quote is such inspiring for me, I hope its the same for you Hassan.
Let’s dissect this! ( to Learn from this)
There is an English proverb that ” God moves in Mysterious Ways” .
It essentially means that as human beings we are Not always able to comprehend the logic/ Khair behind what Allah (swt) does with us.
The most common question I am asked is ” Why am I passing through this tough phase in my life, battling with OCD, was’ was and depression“.
I say that even I used to ask this question a lot.
For logically speaking I didn’t ask for myself to be put in this test.
Logically speaking, I wanted my religion/ faith to be a source of tranquility in my life & it’s like my affection for my faith has turned against me.
Lots of mental bickering, a myriad of unanswered questions.
However, there is only an answer to this: i.e.
” Allah(SWT) and His Hikmah is beyond our understanding”.
So, all I can do is :
1) Train myself to become GRATEFUL, despite my life being on the thorns.
2) Know deep in my heart, that ” This shall Pass, though it looks such abnormally impossible now”.
3) Utilize any resources to help me with my condition. This included meeting with learned people, learning from courageous people who had been through this phase before, learning from books, and worthy knowledge resources. WHY? Because Allah(Swt) changes the destiny ( condition) of those nations(individuals) who are determined to change it.
So, in case you are grappling with Hardship, emotionally, financially, health-wise, know that Allah’s(SWT) khair shall reach you Insha-Allah.
Just you have to:
1) Be Patient _
2) Be grateful _
3) Be an Action Taker
